OK I reckon there’s about 5 online shopping days till Xmas – judging from all the ads I see saying get your orders in before Dec 19 to have them delivered by Christmas…so here’s my wrap of the good, the bad and the downright disappointing.
Today – a great example.
I needed to buy a necklace. I looked at Dinosaur Designs – love their stuff but couldn’t find what I wanted; Tiffany’s – hate their stuff but was struggling to find something else online; then Oye Modern, a site that promises:
“Unique, short-run jewellry by emerging and independent designers from all over the world”.
Their site is very simply but nicely designed – absolutely in keeping with their brand promise; their search functionality is GREAT, their products are interesting – and again in keeping with their brand promise; buying was easy and it was delivered when they promised, nicely packaged – and with a handwritten thank you note to top it off. In fact I was so impressed I went immediately to Twitter to follow them…
A great experience.
Watch out tomorrow for one at the polar opposite – in fact such a bad site it did not result in the sale even though I LOVE their product….
